Quality Systems

There are a number of prominent quality systems in use today.  These include ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AI9001, Six Sigma, Lean and Agile. There is a lot of commonality between modern quality systems. The newer systems tend to build upon the tools and principles of the prior systems. The seven principles below are employed and persistent amongst all global QMS options.

The seven principles of quality management are:
Engagement of people.
Customer focus. Leadership.
Process approach. Improvement.
Evidence-based decision making.
Relationship management.

What are the 7 basic quality tools?
Stratification.
Histogram.
Check sheet (tally sheet)
Cause and effect diagram (fishbone or Ishikawa diagram)
Pareto chart (80-20 rule)
Scatter diagram.
Control chart (Shewhart chart)
